Having relocated to Richmond myself as a young adult, I can tell you that life here has changed signficantly! Once a quiet town steeped in tradition and history, and not much to do except maybe go to the State Fair in the Fall or swim in the James River in the Summer, Richmond is still this town and Now, it has become more of a
cospmopolitan city with a grand arena of things to do, places to see, festivals, museums. At almost any given time of year you can enjoy Richmond's cultural activities, such as the Italian Street Festival, the 2nd St. Festival, the St. Patrick's Day Festival, the Armenian Festival, the Greek Festival, just to name a few. And then there are the other celebrations of life, June Jubilee, The Wine Festival, a multitude of events held on Brown's Island, the Virginia State Fair, Arts in the Park, First Fridays, Carytown New Years Eve and so many more to mention hear. If you are bored living in Richmond, there is something very wrong!
